THE SCIENCE OF TREATING NEURAL SENSITIZATION (pg 5)

Without adequate antioxidant protection, there is increased risk of inflammation and degenerative diseases,54 lung damage,38,39 and other organ injury.40

These vicious cycles MUST therefore be interrupted to the maximum extent feasible. Symptoms of sensitization are warnings that other more silent toxic-induced organ damage of the liver, pancreas, immune system, adrenals, mitochondria and other organs can be also occurring.21,36,41 This masking/blocking symptoms of these cycles by drugs is not recommended without healing the disturbed biochemical mechanism. (This would be like turning off a battery warning light without fixing the battery.)

For effective treatment, the frequency of intake of ingredients must be adequate to CONTINUALLY interrupt the biochemical vicious cycles. Also, any interruption in taking protocol ingredients significantly delays potential to interrupt these biochemical cycles.

  • a. Nebulizer use is needed for ingredients not absorbed well by mouth and to build levels more quickly. This includes glutathione (the major antioxidant of the body). Folinic acid can be added for nebulizer use: it is more easily converted to the bioactive folate the body uses for brain/nerve repair or bioactive folate (MTHF) can be used directly in modest doses.
  • b. Substances can be taken by nasal spray for quick portable use.
  • c. Other substances taken by mouth that help heal and reduce the biochemical cycles are discussed below. It is critical to have a broad range of antioxidants, because they act at different locations, on different types of damaging free radicals and complement the action of each other.54 These are discussed in more detail below.
